1921 - 1983 Honored artist of the RSFSR (1961). Honored worker of art of the RSFSR (1965). Laureate of the international prize Grand Prix (Brussels, 1958). In 1950, he graduated from I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of B.V. Ioganson workshop. Participated in exhibitions of Leningrad artists since 1948. Member ofLeningrad organization of the union of artists since 1951. Personal exhibitions took place in Leningrad (1972, 1986, 1987), Moscow (1972), St. Petersburg (2001). The works of the artist are exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian State Museum, many regional museums. He is listed on page 326 of Matthew Bown's, A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters.
