Yvette’s parents encouraged her to pursue and embrace her dreams. With such a heartfelt history directly related to her personal past, it is nearly impossible not to be a trailblazer. She is inspired by her immediate surroundings to create without questioning her God-given creative impulses. Yvette was selected to attend and complete an artist residency at the Flint Institute of Arts-School of Arts. Her academic achievements include an Associate of Arts Degree; a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree; a Master of Fine Arts Degree with a Teaching Assistantship/Specializing in Theater/Speech Communications; a Master of Arts Degree with a Teaching Assistantship in Telecommunication/Specializing in Media Arts Production; and a State of Michigan-Governor’s Management Internship in Public Policy.
