BIOJohnathan Ball (JBall) is a painter and sculptor who bridges the energy of the street with the language of fine art. For over fifteen years, he’s developed a signature style that fuses abstraction and urban realism — a reflection of the cities that shaped him from Toronto to New York to Miami. His work interprets the pulse of urban life through layered textures, bold color, and movement that mirrors the rhythm of the city itself.Beyond the canvas, JBall brings his expressive brushwork into three dimensions, sculpting anatomical forms that become new canvases for paint — a blend of humor, tension, and storytelling.An active muralist and community collaborator, JBall has created large-scale works for Toronto’s Street Art Initiative and private collectors alike. His patrons include the Mayor of Toronto, Universal Music, Blattner Energy, and IMT Corporation.A Toronto native (b. 1983), JBall earned his BFA with honors from York University and received the Ontario Arts Council Emerging Artist Award.
