BioKassie Brown was born and raised in a small west Texas town in 1976. She creates art primarily through oil on canvas and ceramics. Through these mediums, she extracts feelings of nostalgia and wonder through the incorporation of elements of bygone eras into a modern setting. She uses western themes and aesthetics to build illustrative characters and scenes using vivid colors that draw from her experiences as a young Texas native. Kassie lives in New Braunfels, Texas with her husband and son. She also has three grown daughters and is a proud grandmother to her first granddaughter, Honey. Kassie holds a BFA from Texas State University.
