Marek Zyga is a self-taught sculptor born and raised in Bolesławiec, Poland. He began working with clay in 2003 and held his solo debut in 2007 at the Ceramics Museum in his hometown. Zyga focuses on figurative sculpture, exploring human gestures, behaviors, and relationships. He constructs life-size sculptures from plaster models using extrusion, casting, and modeling techniques, favoring the rough texture of chamotte clay for its organic, stone-like surface. His works combine beauty, symbolism, and a dream-like aura. Solo & Public Exhibitions2007 – Solo debut, Ceramics Museum, Bolesławiec, Poland
