Andy Moses (b. 1962) is a Los Angeles–based abstract painter associated with the Light and Space and Finish Fetish movements. The son of artist Ed Moses, he is known for his process-based paintings that blend abstraction and representation, often inspired by natural forces and the ocean. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts (1979–1981) under Barbara Kruger, Michael Asher, and John Baldessari. After relocating to New York, Moses developed his signature style using chemical reactions, viscosity interference, and gravity to manipulate paint. He returned to California in 2000, where the ocean continues to influence his pearlescent, curved works that shift with light and viewer movement. Notable ExhibitionsOver the past thirty-five years, Moses has exhibited widely in New York, Los Angeles, and internationally. Selected institutions include:Frederick R.
