Nobuhito Nishigawara was born in Nagoya, Japan in 1974. He earned his BFA from Kansas Art Institute, Kansas City, Missouri in 1999, and his MFA from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona in 2002. Nishigawara’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including solo exhibitions. His work has been reviewed critically in publications such as Art Papers, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Sculpture Magazine, American Art Collector, and Ceramic Monthly, and is featured in the book Nature Morte. He is a professor and Head of Ceramics in the Visual Arts Department at California State University, Fullerton, California, and also serves as visiting faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles. Nishigawara’s professional experience includes assisting artist Ken Ferguson and author Susan Peterson. He lives and works in Orange County, California.
