Born in Santurce, Eduardo Cabrer is a staple of nostalgia in contemporary Pop art. Cabrer experimented at a young age with artistic mediums to express his emotions and identity while further defining his relationship with his surroundings. He then pursued a formal education and completed a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at George Washington University. Cabrer’s persistent search for new ways to express himself has taken him from simple graphite drawings to combining acrylics, oils, pastels, resin, tapes and enamels over steel, canvas and wood. Cabrer is celebrated in Puerto Rico and all over the world as his expressive and engaging work elevates simple objects to the quality of fine art. He often paints retro candies with distinct patterns, textures, and colors, conceptualizing these products and repositioning them as memorabilia to be seen in new ways. In 2022, his work sold out at the Aqua Art Fair in Miami which led to a solo exhibition in Warsaw the next year.
