I am both thankful for, and frustrated by, my extremely vivid imagination. I’ve always been a visual person – I like to look at things. I look at color. I look at shape. I look at how color and shape change in different light or while in motion. Nature always centers me. A simple hike sparks creativity and inspires my palette.For me, creating is all about connection. The deeper I get into creating, the deeper I drop into and connect with my own “open” and authentic space. Be it a pairing of intense colors, bold brush strokes, or subtle mark making – I want to convey the energy and emotion I feel in that moment, to connect with the viewer.
