Photographer for Scout Guide, River City Lifestyle Magazine. Each piece is like creating a new piece of music - let the flow be the guiding force. I have loved flowers all my life, since growing up on a small French island with a big yard filled with flowers, fruit trees and vegetables.I get inspired by nature, colors, music, movies. I decide on a color scheme, then what fruits, flowers, vegetables to add. I decide on the mood, which dictates how I will shoot it. I print each image twice and cut each piece depending on the mood at the moment. The weaving process reminds me of my mom's patchwork, and it is a very soothing process. We tend to be in a hurry, forgetting to stop and look at our everyday little moments - plants, flowers, the fruits we eat . . . Taking a photo of it, printing, cutting, weaving . . . Makes you pause and revisit what sometimes you take for granted. I also like imperfect, broken flowers, fruit aging, it is a reminder of the time passing but also, I find beauty in what is imperfect. My weaving will not be perfect, nor linear for a reason.
