"Train yourself: It is not by accident an artist becomes a good painter. "- Sergei Bongart I paint using a style some might call expressionistic, sometimes abstracted. I focus mostly on landscapes, but I also enjoy painting other subject matter. I am always taking risks and trying new approaches to keep learning and evolving as a painter. I welcome working one-on-one with clients on custom paintings and commission projects of any size, so please contact me with inquiries. Biography: I've been developing my artistic talent most of my life. At the vocational technical high school I attended, in Central Pennsylvania in the 70's, I was a fixture in the mechanical drafting department, spending several hours a day drafting plans for various school projects. My early professional career in drafting led me to a degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State and several satisfying drafting jobs for major companies. Then, in the 1990s, the drafting profession changed radically with computer technology, and I found myself missing the artistry of drawing. It was then that I began to seriously study painting and teach myself to paint. I'm very grateful to the artist mentors I've had, and for all the exhibit opportunities, galleries, and clients I've had over the years.
