BioJ. Felice Boucher has been a photographer with a career that has spanned over thirty years. She earned her BFA from the Maine College of Art, as a non-traditional student and single mother of two young children, and was awarded the Master Degree, Craftsmanship Certification by the Professional Photographers of America. She opened her photography business and photographed weddings, portraits and commercial projects both locally and around the country for over twenty-five years. Recently she has given up the wedding, portrait, and commercial work to focus on her fine art work and health since being diagnosed with a serious illness. Her fine art photography has appeared in museums, galleries and private collections. Artist StatementI named this body of work "Deified" because the women in the images have been transformed from mere mortals to goddess-like beings or deities...making them divine. “Deified” is created from my love of light, design, graphics, painting and people. I create these images for myself; my place of quiet...my form of meditation.
