Amy Chenier is originally from Escanaba, Michigan. Her father’s job led to a young adult life full of travel, which contributed to her love of people and ideas. Her mother encouraged her talent for painting, and was key in engaging Amy in meaningful conversation about poetry, philosophy, science, current events and history. These topics fuel Amy’s subject matter in her paintings, which she considers visual explorations of potentially disparate ideas. She is collected nationwide and has been in numerous exhibitions with a variety of galleries.
