Geoffrey Key is a renowned British painter and sculptor. Born in Manchester, England, in 1941, he developed a passion for art from a young age. He received his early education at Manchester's High School of Art and later pursued a degree and postgraduate studies at the Manchester Regional College of Art. Key's artistic style is characterized by bold use of colour, fine draughtsmanship, and a strong imagination. His works often explore themes of movement, rhythm, space, depth, growth, structure, harmony, contrast, noise, and calm. His mastery of form, texture, light, and colour brings distinctive character to his artworks. Key's works have been exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, and are featured in numerous public and private collections. He has received several awards and honours, including the Heywood Medal in Fine Art and the Guthrie Bond Travelling Scholarship.
