As a native Floridian, Victor Bokas has a deep well of sunny, warm and fun experiences to draw inspiration from. His creations are bright, lively and playful, while still communicating a story and providing a rich viewing experience. Victor’s focus is to create bold, colorful, joyful paintings to make the viewer smile. Some of his paintings are energetic like a party on the beach, while others are a bit more tranquil and contemplative like a solo walk through a park. It is this impressive range that allows for any viewer to find their happy space in his work. Victor moved to Orlando in 1987 where he still lives and works from today. His unique artistic style is enriched by his journey through the creative field. His studio itself is an extension of his work, covered top to bottom in drips and splatters of paint giving a behind-the-scenes glimpse to his lively creative process. His work can be found in numerous corporate and museum collections as well as an 85-foot-long mosaic floor featured in Orlando International Airport. Victor creates artwork that is not only joyful and warm, but incredibly well executed. He has a deep understanding of composition and color which when combined, provide the most memorable viewing experience. “I love painting abstracts – the joy of dancing around the canvas, spontaneous mark making and looking for surprises as they appear. These paintings are a space to be colorful, peaceful or playful, while communicating subliminal narratives that are open to interpretation.”
