Bio Sebastian "Seb" Sweatman is an abstract painter influenced and inspired by the Abstract Expressionist movement. Sebastian was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. At ten years of age he emigrated from South Africa and the family moved to England, then Canada and finally the United States. Sebastian currently paints out of his studio in Stowe, Vermont. Artist Statement My paintings are about life.I am interested in depth. I am interested in light. I love color. I am interested in movement; how some parts of the canvas are slow while others are fast. Some parts are stationary. I am also interested in the process which which is often random, or directed by new implements.I experiment in all my paintings. There is always a point in the process where I don't know what happens next.
