Cyd Dutcher has always been drawn to vibrant color and the artisticorganization of geometric shapes. Realizing fused glass was her medium ofchoice occurred when she found herself in a close friend's studio, some 20years ago.She refined her skills through dedicated practice and specialized classesunder internationally known glass fusers, along with continuously exploringnew techniques, such as inclusions, and spatial variations.Her signature piece is her colorful Exclamation Point, but her work is easilyrecognizable in other wall or tabletop pieces, including furniture. Her designscontinue to evolve as a result of her other passion, which is extensivetraveling.When she’s not traveling, Cyd draws inspiration from her home lifestyle, on asmall lake in Northern Michigan and the desert of Southern New Mexico.
