Merrily Strickland grew up in Raleigh, NC and graduated from Meredith College with a BA in studio art and art history. Merrily's art reflects her passion for travel and her interest in exploring light, color, and the ability to create a sense of time and place with paint on canvas. In her art, Merrily celebrates the people and places of the world that God created and tries to reflect, in some small measure, His beauty. In addition to painting scenes from her travels and from around North Carolina, Merrily often works on commission and will be glad to work with customers to create portraits and other custom artwork.
