Salisbury graduated in 1983 with a BA in Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University. She studied for several years with Charlotte artist Andy Braitman. Inspired in 2002 by a workshop in Italy with Ian Roberts, she has been painting landscapes en plein air from the Carolina's coastline and mountains to France and Italy. She has studied with Jim Crompton, West Fraser, and Peggy Kroll Roberts. I try to bring to my landscape paintings a sense of place, a clear and fresh approach, while integrating within my work, something from deep inside.
