Internationally acclaimed artist Milton Bond, born 1918 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is renowned for his mastery of reverse glass painting—a craft cherished by few contemporaries. Bond's lineage of New England oystermen and sailors and his own experience as a master of a commercial vessel infuse his work with an intimate understanding of the sea. This self-taught artist, who exhibited prodigious talent from the age of five, has been perfecting his reverse glass painting technique for over two decades. Bond's works have won numerous awards and have graced prestigious museums across the U.S., Europe, and South America. Today, he continues to create from his home in Stratford, Connecticut.
