Bruno Del Favero (1910-1995) was a self-taught artist born in Princeton, Michigan. After living in Italy during his childhood, he returned to the United States and settled in Greenwich, Connecticut. Despite working various jobs to make a living, Del Favero secretly pursued his passion for painting delicate and enigmatic landscapes. In the early 1970s, he started exhibiting his work in local art shows and became a member of the Greenwich Art Society. Del Favero maintained a basement studio where he created his art, but never shared it with his wife and children. Following his death, his family introduced his artwork to art dealers in New York City. In 1998, Del Favero's work was showcased in his first solo exhibition outside of Greenwich at the Cavin-Morris Gallery.
