Lucas Pertile(Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina, 1976)Lucas Pertile is an Argentine visual artist whose work merges contemporary painting with the visual vocabulary of graphic design. He studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where he also taught Graphic Design and Editorial Design. Simultaneously, he pursued drawing and painting under the mentorship of Argentine painter Miguel Ángel Ronsino. His work combines abstract and figurative elements, drawing inspiration from the lush subtropical landscapes of his native Chaco region. Through layered compositions and rich textures, Pertile explores the interplay between nature, identity, memory, and symbolism. Vegetal forms, masks, hybrid beings, and totemic figures are recurring elements in a visual language that is deeply personal and emotionally resonant.Since 2006, he has exhibited in solo and group shows in Argentina, Europe, Asia, and the United States. His paintings have been featured in publications such as Eigenhu & Interieur (Netherlands), Entrecasa, and Göoo (Argentina), and are part of collections in over a dozen countries, including Germany, Singapore, Lebanon, and the U.S.Pertile co-founded Diseñadores Unidos in 2009 and later launched Calavera Sur Textiles in 2013, expanding his visual work into design and commercial textiles. He is currently represented by Isabel Anchorena Gallery (Buenos Aires) and Eligere Gallery (Seoul), and in 2021 was selected by Rise Art Gallery to exhibit in London.
