Laura Romero(Spain, 1976)Laura Romero is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist whose work spans photography, painting, installation, sculpture, and printmaking. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in Design from the Complutense University of Madrid, and later pursued further studies in Innovation in Art and Digital Culture at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Her artistic formation also includes residencies and advanced training at prestigious institutions such as Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London), Proyecto ‘ace in Buenos Aires, the Imaging Laboratory at the Autonomous University of Querétaro (Mexico), and EFTI — International Center of Photography and Cinema in Madrid.Romero’s work explores a wide range of mediums and formats, often engaging with contemporary issues through a deeply personal and experimental lens. Her creative practice has earned her international recognition, including being selected as a semifinalist in the ARTBOX.PROJECT New York 1.0 (organized by ARTBOX.GALLERY Switzerland) and a feature in Create! Magazine in January 2021. Among her accolades are the City of Palencia Award for Artistic Creation and honors from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Our Lady of Rosario in A Coruña, Spain.She has exhibited her work widely in galleries, museums, and international art fairs across the globe, with presentations in London, Paris, Madrid, Mexico City, Hamburg, Istanbul, Stockholm, Alaska, Ecuador, Brazil, Buenos Aires, and Québec, among others.
