Belgian artist Manu Tintoré, has an impressive and prolific career as a sculptor and painter. All of his works revolve around the human being, our future, and relationship with our mother earth. A decade of work as an international agricultural engineer for ONU, in diverse developing countries of Africa, as well as America, has given Tintoré an acute awareness of our planet and our relationship with it, the other animals, and organisms with whom we share it. Thus, his artwork is imbued with an overwhelming essence of both globality and existentialism. Much of Tintoré’s work is in stark black and white or grey scale images, and generally portray humans, everyday objects, and our intricate and completely intertwined relationship with nature. His sculptural work is architectural in flavour, utilizing a variety of natural materials in intricately assembled combination. Between 2013 and 2023 in solo exhibitions and art fairs, Tintoré has exhibited his sculptures and paintings in over ten countries. He is the recipient of numerous awards in several countries, including two first prizes for snow and ice sculpture in Barcelona and Andorra. Tintoré currently, lives in Catalonia near Barcelona, Spain; and represented by galleries in Belgium, Spain, Mexico and China. His work can be found in collections in over 11 countries worldwide, including notably, the Collection of National Archives at The White House, Washington, DC. Artist Statement Wanting to be everything I feel, everything I see, everything I hear and say, everything I know or I don't know ...converts me to an improbable being compelled to search out and to find out, sometimes. I describe my work as a meditation on the contemporary man and his limits but also about the power that he is able to exert on space and nature, approaching an increasingly fragile balance. The focus is on rediscovering the imprint of man, his capacity to dialogue with nature, to participate in an increasingly needed thinking on the relationship between man and nature.
