The sheer variety of materials and subject matter, in the works of Adrian Guerrero, illustrates his versatility and incredibly broad scope as an artist. Whether sculptural, or painting, Guerrero explores all aspects of life. His sculptural works reflect a profound connection to nature, masterfully executed by the complexity of his engineering capabilities. In contrast, his paintings express the simplicity of colour blocking, and abstract visualization. Guerrero’s quest to analyze human perception, supported by the field of philosophy from different levels, compels him to generate new perceptions and uncommon twists on things common to us. His reflections and processes start from the simple, from the surprise of the small and the everyday. It is possible to interpret Guerrero’s trajectory as an infinitely returning ellipse — each lap renewed — to the path traveled, retaking and reinterpreting images which have become a constant in his work: time, spatial relationships, and the phenomenology of things in themselves. Without neglecting his passion for ceramics in its different techniques, he creates sculptural pieces, and installations with a variety of materials & media including photography, video, drawing, and painting. His work can be found in collections such as Louis Vuitton Foundation, Museo de Cerámica de Manises (Valencia, Spain), CERCO (Aragon, Spain) Universidad de Guadalajara MUSA Collection (Jalisco, Mexico), and the Museo de Arte de Zapopan (Jalisco, Mexico).
