Naian González Norvind (México 1992) Naian Gonzalez Norvind is a multi-award winning film/theater/TV actress as well as writer/screenwriter. Gonzalez Norvind starred in NUEVO ORDEN, a dystopian drama from award-winning film director Michel Franco. The film's international premiere at the Venice International Film Festival (2020) earned her the Grand Jury Prize, the Silver Lion. She played Ariela in LEONA, a young Jewish girl in Mexico City who is torn between the expectation of her family and her love for a non-Jewish man. Co-written by Gonzalez Norvind and director Isaac Cherem, LEONA was in competition at the 2018 Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), and won Best Actress. In 2012, she won Best Actress at the Guanajuato Film Festival for her role as Maria in the film TODO EL MUNDO TIENE A ALGUIEN EXCEPT ME. Other film and television projects include: GOTHAM, SEX, SHAME AND TEARS, 20 YEARS LATER (2021). SOUTH MOUNTAIN (in official competition SXSW FILM FESTIVAL 2019), and the HBO pilot "The Devil You Know," created by Jenji Kohan and directed by Gus Van Sant. In 2022 he starred in the series AMSTERDAM (HBO, 2022) directed by Gustavo Taretto, and in 2023 he appeared as a recurring character in INVASION (second season, Apple TV). In theater she has graced the most prestigious stages in the United States such as Lincoln Center, Public Theater, Berkeley Rep and The Old Globe with new works by Richard Nelson, Greg Pierce, and Sarah Ruhl. In Mexico she worked with Diego del Rio co-starring in David Hare's BLUE ROOM, and in 2022 she played Ophelia in Hamlet for Teatro Milan (CDMX).Today she makes her debut as a theater director with OLEANNA, by David Mamet, for Foro Lucerna.
