Anticipating fatherhood, photographer Inigo Taylor’s work shifted from social documentary to an exploration of the landscapes of Malta, Gozo, and Comino in 2019. He became captivated by their resilient beauty and the profound challenges they face. In 2021, he presented a series of 12 prints titled Maltese, Everlasting at Studio 87 in Valletta, which were the result of his initial survey of the Maltese landscape. That same year and into 2022, he photographed Eucalyptus trees under the title Tree of the Turtle Doves, a series that has yet to be published. He then turned his focus to the coastal landscape, capturing a specific stretch of the west coast between spring 2022 and autumn 2023. This work was self-published in 2024 under the title Lbiċ. He is currently working on a project in Gozo, with plans to self-publish it in 2025. Inigo is now represented by Christine X Gallery and is excited to showcase prints featuring Malta’s trees, stone, sea, and sky.
