I began taking fused glass classes at the Salem (Oregon) Art Association while working full-time as a physician. When I opened my studio in 2002, my goal was to create beautiful, functional tableware and serving pieces for everyday use. In 2007, retirement allowed me to expand my art practice. I began teaching, attending workshops, exhibiting at a local gallery, and participating in art festivals. While I still create functional art, I now also enjoy the challenge of crafting larger pieces intended for display.
