Ivana Bukovac is a contemporary figurative artist born in Serbia and based in Italy. Her evocative paintings explore themes of identity, memory, and the inner self. After completing her artistic studies in Serbia, she moved to Venice to attend the Accademia di Belle Arti, where she developed a passion for painting. Initially influenced by Balkan folklore, her art evolved to focus on the relationship between memory and identity, often through figurative representations of faces and female figures. Ivana’s work draws from personal memories and experiences to create symbolic pieces that blend the real with the surreal. Her use of acrylic and oil paints allows for a fluid creative process, reflecting the ever-changing nature of memory itself. She has exhibited widely in group and solo shows across Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, and more recently in the U.S.
