Morgain Bailey is an American artist who lives in northern Maine. Her multi-faceted creative work combines photography, painting and printmaking with a life-long practice of visual meditation. She grew up on the California coast, roamed around a lot and then chose to make a home in the northeastern United States in 2015. She now maintains a studio in the small northern city of Presque Isle, Maine. She holds a BFA from The San Francisco Art Institute, her work is collected internationally and it has been exhibited across the United States. Her series of color field paintings and photographs are inspired by deep observation of the landscape through the changes of the seasons. They are intended to offer the viewer a place for relaxed visual contemplation and meditation. This work is inspired by locations in Maine and Canada.
