Kit Barksdale is an artist with deep roots in the Mississippi and Louisiana Craftsmens' Guilds and has earned a Fellowship Grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission. Her work is showcased in galleries across both states. After moving to Bay St. Louis, Kit has turned her focus to abstract painting and collage. As a member of the Bay Arts Co-op, draws inspiration from years of hiking and kayaking in the Gulf Coast region and America's national parks. Using bold, saturated colors, Kit's paintings reflect not just the landscapes she saw, but the way she remembers them.
