Nona Inescu lives and works between Athens, Greece, and Bucharest,Romania. Based on a theoretical andliterary perspective, the works focus on the relationship betweenthe human body and the environment and the redefinition of thissubject in a post-human key. The mediating properties of the bodyare rendered in several ways, projecting a translation of the worlddriven by affect, signaling its position as an interface between selfand reality. Concepts of geological time and our intense interrelationwith our surroundings compose an aesthetic of a primal contemporarytogetherness in an organic and biologicaltechno-sphere.Recent exhibitions have taken place at Catinca Tabacaru Gallery(Bucharest); Lentos Kunstmuseum (Linz); Kandlhofer Galerie (Vienna);Salonul de Proiecte (Bucharest); Brooke Benington (London);Sylvia Kouvali (London); Goethe Institut (Bucharest); Le CAP Saint-Fons (Lyon); Kunstraum Kreuzberg (Berlin); MAMAC (Nice); Radius(Delft); SpazioA (Pistoia); Centre Clark (Montreal); Art EncountersBiennale (Timișoara); KVOST(Berlin); Peles Empire (Berlin); basis(Frankfurt), Tallinn Art Hall (Estonia), Museo della Montagna (Torino),among others.
