Paul Sarkis is a painter and photographer based in Palm Springs, California. His original fine art paintings on canvas and linen are inspired by the vibrant colors and shifting light of the desert. With a focus on contemporary design and a midcentury modern palette, Paul’s work draws from the California Hard Edge movement of the 1960s, blending geometric abstraction with the bold forms and rich hues of color field painting. As a photographer, Paul specializes in celebrity portraiture and on-set unit stills photography. His work has been used to promote major feature films and television series, including Showtime’s Shameless, Yellowjackets, and The Affair, as well as productions from Apple TV+, HBO, NBC, ABC, CBS, and FX.Before transitioning into visual arts, Paul spent years as a journalist and editor, covering Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from Vermont Law School.
