Natasha is a self-taught artist who was born and raised on Vancouver Island, BC, but now resides in the West Isles of New Brunswick. She specializes in a unique painting technique in which she creates dramatically silhouetted seascapes and landscapes using homemade charcoal from her wood-fired pizza oven and acrylic paint. She has always drawn inspiration from the silhouettes around her—sunsets foreshadowed by trees and rugged coastlines, the ocean and its boats, birds and beaches—all of which is reflected in her paintings.Natasha’s work is featured in over a dozen commercial galleries as well as many private collections across Canada, the United States, and Europe. Care Instructions:Your new piece of art is painted using homemade charcoal and acrylic paint. It has been sealed, but it’s best to always handle using the sides or hanging wire; try to avoid touching the canvas surface. As with all fine art, it’s best to avoid hanging in areas with high humidity or at risk of being in direct contact with water. If the painted surfaces need to be dusted, use a clean dry, microfiber cloth and lightly wipe the sides.
