Though she pursued a career in science, earning a Master’s degree in Technology and working as a research scientist, her heart always belonged to art.After an 18-year hiatus, Sudakshina returned to painting, finding inspiration in nature, wildlife, portraits, and still life. Her work is distinguished by bold colors and intricate brushstrokes, creating deeply expressive pieces that resonate with viewers. She believes that when emotions soar like butterflies, the soul blossoms like a flower—an idea she brings to life through her vibrant compositions. Her artistic revival began in 2016 when she joined LexArt in Massachusetts, where she participated in major exhibitions and received the prestigious “Eva Kashket Prize for Excellence in Oil or Acrylic.” Encouraged by her husband, she embraced her creative identity once more, adopting the artist name SuWani—a blend of her and her husband’s names.Sudakshina’s story is one of perseverance.
