Rosanne Cerbo is a resident of Tuxedo, New York. She’s an award winning artist including BEST IN SHOW from the 2020 AIS Nationals Small Works Show. She is a member of OPA, NOAPS, Salmagundi, and a signature member of AIS and HVAA. After learning the Dumond Palette from Master John Osborne she began exhibiting her works around the country in many galleries and private collections. All subjects inspire her including portraits, landscapes, still lifes; and animals. Growing up, she was active in training and riding racehorses. Her passion for adventure is carried through and is evident in her paintings today-you can literally see this passion and boldness executed right on the canvas. She is deeply intrigued with the old masters such as Zorn, Sargent and Sorolla. Rosanne is a humanitarian artist affiliated with Heart Galleries across the country painting portraits of foster children in hopes of adoption. As a prolific artist, she paints at least one painting a day and regardless of weather, is out with art buddies once or twice a week for her morning plein-air sessions. "Mother nature is the best teacher there is!” she claims. "Something about the challenge of capturing the moment, dealing with light changes, bugs and weather makes it all the more exciting." Art is part, if not whole, of who she is. It is her oxygen- it’s why she's eager to awaken from her warm bed to face painting outside on a freezing day. It takes her out of her comfort zone and challenges her on a daily basis. It is her friend and at times, a frustrating foe. It is the spouse that she would never divorce. Her undying passion does not get old and will remain with her until her last breath.
