Peyton began her life as an artist after leaving a fourteen year career in medicine. She has painted portraits, landscapes, abstracts, and seemingly everything in between. However, her greatest joy has been illustrating and authoring her children’s book SHINE. Peyton paints giant, colorful aliens that bring joy into any room. Without a doubt, Peyton believes that we are all born with a unique inner light. The aliens (and her book) help to remind us all that our only job is to shine it! For being relatively new on the art scene, Peyton has several accomplishments. She served as the resident artist at The Monarch Music and Arts Community in Louisville, Kentucky, and as such was interviewed on their behalf for a documentary on the KET network. She was chosen by the Louisville Visual Arts Association to display her painting “Bubbles” at the AC Hotel in Nulu, and was the guest artist and speaker for St. Vincent DePaul’s annual fundraising event “Roses and Rosé”. Peyton also holds a Masters in Teaching, and recently returned from Costa Rica where she taught daily art classes on a yoga retreat. Peyton currently lives in Hendersonville, TN with her partner Peter and a bevy of fur babies.
