Camille Eskell exhibits her work extensively in solo and group shows throughout the U.S. and abroad, including Mexico and South America. Her work is in numerous public and private collections, including the Hudson River Museum (NY), Chrysler Museum of Art (VA), the Housatonic Museum of Art, (CT) and the Islip Art Museum (NY). She received 2017-8 Artist Fellowship Excellence award from the CT Office of the Arts, as well as those in drawing and painting from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Connecticut Commission on the Arts respectively. She has received reviews/features in publications, such as The New York Times, CT Post, The Hartford Courant, Art New England, and the Huffington Post, and online journals Art Spiel, Posit 19 and Ante Mag. Residencies include Weir Farm/National Historic site (2001) and the Vermont Studio Center (2005). Eskell holds an MFA from Queens College/CUNY, lives/works in the greater New York area.Current shows include Tradition Interrupted, touring the U.S. through 2024, now at the OSU Museum of Art, OK, and Cycles of Nature: Highlights from the Collections of the Hudson River Museum and Art Bridges at the Hudson River Museum (NY) through February 2023. In 2022 she participated in Women Pulling at the Strings of Social Discourse (MoCA Westport , CT), Geographies of the Self (Longwood Gallery/Bronx Council on the Arts, NY), Tradition Interrupted (Katonah Museum of Art, NY) and group shows on Odetta Digital on Artsy. Recent solo shows include The Fez as Storyteller (Brandeis University/Hadassah-Brandeis Institute, MA; online/pandemic), The Fez as Storyteller (Lockhart Gallery, SUNY/Geneseo, NY) and group shows Alien Nations (Coral Gables Museum, Miami, FL), Women's Sphere (Is Wherever She Makes Good) 6 Artists (Weir Farm National Historic site, CT), Between I and Thou (Hudson Valley MoCA, NY) and The Neo-Victorians (Hudson River Museum, NY).
