Rooted in a deep appreciation for color, texture, and emotional expression, my work explores the intersection of material and meaning. I primarily work with acrylics, often integrating found objects, paper, fabric, and everyday refuse—items typically discarded—reimagining them as integral elements of visual storytelling. Each piece begins with curiosity: Can this be transformed into art? My practice is driven by emotion and shaped by the natural world. I believe that inspiration can come from nearly anything, and that the value of art lies not just in its materials or techniques, but in the personal connections it sparks in the viewer. Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, and raised in nearby Natchitoches, I studied art at Northwestern State University. Though I left before completing my degree, my artistic journey continued through lived experiences across Texas, Arkansas, and North Carolina before returning to Louisiana. That time away continues to influence my work—especially my interest in combining traditional techniques with the unexpected.
