M Jason is a Charleston based artist. He is self-taught, and expresses his passion for analog photography and darkroom printing. Creating his works with 35mm, medium, and large format film, then developing each image by hand in the darkroom is a celebration of a manual and physical process that is being lost against digital practices. His photography cherishes life and beauty in the coastal South and seeks to honor the familiar symbols emblematic of the place he calls home.
