Evan Bradbury is an artist and curator. He works predominantly with acrylic paints, but he enjoys exploring many different mediums. Bradbury currently produces abstract works focused primarily on the celebration of the process, materials, and practice of painting. Bradbury believes that there exists an honesty and directness in removing all pretenses and interpretation, and instead finding the meaning in the mess. He studied art at The Art Students League of New York, as well as the National Academy of Design in New York City before coming back to home to Madison. His first “mixed use art space” was named Bright Red Studios. Bradbury is now the owner and curator of Carnelian Art Gallery.
