Jaime McCarrier is an artist based out of San Diego, CA. Originally from Boulder, CO, she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art in 2006. Jaime’s background in art and design has been the perfect combination, allowing her to gain experience in the design world, while also creating opportunities to continue painting and growing as an artist. Inspired by fashion, coastal style and bright colors, her artwork fuses classic elements and patterns with beach imagery for a modern pop. Jaime’s pieces frequently combine figurative elements with playful color combinations to create fun and bright art. “I paint with the intention of capturing a moment. Oftentimes they are simple but significant- my daughter in her favorite striped shirt with her hair falling down… I like to paint from my own life, while keeping a certain anonymity to allow the piece to become whoever the viewer sees in it. One of my favorite things about being an artist is someone telling me my art reminds them of someone or something important to them. I hope it brings happiness, color and a place to connect your own memories to. Since in the end that’s all we have."
