1984 - Denys was born in 1984 in the city of Poltava, Ukraine. He fell in love with art at age 7 and received a professional education at the Poltava Children's Art School (1996-2001); Poltava National Technical University Y. Kondratyuk (2001-2007). Denys is well-known worldwide by collectors and fellow artists for his masterful Ukrainian landscapes. He is most interested in painting to express the various states of nature and its changing moods. "Creativity is a constant search and experiment, an attempt to create something new and unrepeatable. The only thing that remains unchanged is the subjects close to the heart." In his impressionistic style, he strives to portray scenes without fuss. “I hardly ever paint figures in my landscapes. I am mostly interested in the state of nature - studying the relationship between color, shape and harmony. In nature, everything is harmonious. This is the foundation for all of my paintings which I hope brings life to my work.” Denys is equally comfortable painting at the easel in his studio or outdoors being inspired by the beautiful landscapes of his local area. Each painting session is different. Sometimes he completes a painting in one sitting while others take several sessions. He enjoys working with a palette knife which produces a “pasty” texture to the work. Denys admires the Old Masters. “Probably because they delved more into the essence of nature while contemporary artists pay more attention to the disclosure of their own inner world.” “It is important not to forget that art is a phenomenon designed to educate a person’s soul and to cultivate the most valuable qualities in a person such as love, for example. Therefore, artists have a great responsibility - what to release into the world, what toreveal to the viewer. This, of course, is only my subjective opinion.”
