Allison Hudson was born and raised outside Philadelphia, PA. After earning her B.A. from Vassar in Asian Studies, she studied painting and sculpture at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and ceramic sculpture in the MFA program at the University of Arizona. She went on to pursue creative careers including a ten-year stint as an entrepreneur and a nationally recognized cake designer. In 2020, Allison rededicated herself to her work as a professional artist. Since then, her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows including Mark Borghi, Automat, James Baird, and Francis McCray (WNMU) and been recognized in several publications including Fiber Art Now and ArteMorbida. In 2024, Allison was the recipient of the Edwina and Charles Milner Women in Arts Award and attended the Pouch Cove Foundation residency in Newfoundland, Canada. Currently, Allison lives and works in Philadelphia.
