Juanito Conte is a renowned Uruguayan artist currently residing in Punta del Este after having lived and worked for sixteen years between New York and Los Angeles. His works with a high impact on color and dynamism, combine mixed media with abundant display of images and expressionist handling in line and form. Self-taught, the artist draws inspiration from various sources, many of which are related to his green passions, his travels and his most intimate experiences that are expressed to tell a story. The artist intertwines the written word, distorts objects and abstract imaginations in pictorial installations with a powerful energy to travel of quality, re-conceives and sizes the work to its highest standards of interpretation. His innovative spirit towards composition and assembly forges a new visual language, amazing compositions that frequently spread across multiple fabrics and panels.
