For over 25 years, Jane Burns has exhibited her works in cities across Canada and the United States, including the 80 Spadina, Yorkville Galleries, The Collector’s Gallery (Albright-Knox Collector’s Gallery, Buffalo, New York), and A.I.R. Gallery, Brookyn, New York. Jane’s work is in many permanent collections such as University of Toronto Art Centre, Carleton University Art Gallery, Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, as well as corporate collections including Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising Inc. Her works are included in many publications, critical reviews and museum catalogues, and she painted during residencies at Pouch Cove and the old growth forest in Temagami.Jane also took great delight in teaching art at both the Royal Ontario Museum and the Harbourfront School by the Water. Jane is a Canadian artist and a member of the Toronto Arts Scene. Born in Owen Sound on the Bruce Peninsula, Jane still finds inspiration from her roots. She completed a fine arts studio degree at University of Toronto.
