I am agraduate of both the Ontario College of Art and Design and the University of Waterloo MFA program where my major was drawing and painting. I have participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States and am the recipient of several winning awards..I currently work out of my in home studio in Guelph. My work has explored several landscape based themes during my career. The common denominator in all the work is a fascination with the action of paint and the tension that exists when the painting breaks down between pictorial representation and abstraction.I employ several painting and mixed media techniques in my work, layering transparent oil washes over magery with a wet-into-wet technique.
