Bio Daniel Zeese is a Vermont-based artist and designer whose practice explores the intersection of memory, place, and the human relationship with built objects. He was originally drawn to the state as a resident and staff artist at the Vermont Studio Center. Daniel's work often manifests in unexpected scales, including meticulously crafted miniature furniture inspired by found objects and their latent histories. These intimate works examine themes of nostalgia and the psychological resonance of familiar forms. Daniel's artistic journey is informed by a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Masters in Architecture from Boston Architectural College. His professional experience extends internationally through his work directing the design of large-scale public art installations. He has exhibited internationally and currently serves as the Executive Director of Frog Hollow Craft Gallery, in Burlington. His studio is in Wolcott, Vermont.
