Deyona Evans is a 16-year-old passionate artist from Madison, MS. Her love of art began with her first stick figure at 3 years old and has been growing ever since. She is inspired by the world around her and by viewing other artists' works, both old and new. She enjoys many forms of expression, from realism in drawing and painting, to sculpture, to simplified graphic designs. Digital concept art plays a big role in her process, as she enjoys mixing technology and drawing to create something new and exciting. In fact, using this combination, she has been busy selling her digital paintings of pets to their owners, and loving their reactions as they see their companions in a new light. She also loves helping others communicate their ideas by creating logos and websites for various local businesses. She recently created new pieces for the CHEC fine arts show, and her latest painting, Neal's Yard, was selected for the Pacesetter Gallery's Choice Award. It is currently showing at Pacesetter Gallery in Flowood, MS. After high school, she plans to travel and study mechanical engineering and fine art. She hopes to contribute to important technological advancements, while still creating new artwork. She would love to have a local studio with sisters and brother to share her love of God and creativity with the community. Art makes her feel free and infuses her with energy, and she hopes to help others find joy in their perspective and creation.
