I have been creating art since the early 1970’s. I am self-taught from reading books and magazines to viewing the work of other artists. I find creating is relaxing . It brings me great joy when I get to share my favorite places with others and they recognize it. I like to use acrylics and or pastel to create landscapes or animals in a realistic manner. I often use pastels because I can begin work immediately rather than mixing colors first. I use acrylics when I need to portray the white of snow or rushing water or if the picture needs to be easily transported. I was raised on a small ranch near Sheridan. I worked for many years in banking and ranching. After retiring from the bank, I have continued to help family run the ranch.
